Fished from 4pm-dark, water 980cfs with a greenish tink. The fishing was slow for the first 3 hours. March Browns were coming off with a few Green Drakes. The later it got, the more Green Drakes came off. By 7:30 there were females and males hatching in decent numbers. Picked up one fish on an female pattern. At 8pm my brother and I headed down to one of the slower pools and the bug activitiy really started to heat up. Coffin flies were heavier then I have ever seen them on the stream, fish started rising just out of reach of our casts. Then.........the rain came. Shut the hatch down. I would of love to seen how tonight would of turned out if rain would of waited an hour. Needless to say if you want to fish the Drakes get your butt to the stream in the next few days.
