Cook Forest: Family Camping Trip

The family went up to Cook Forest for the first time on a camping trip this weekend. The campground was huge and packed with people. There were numerous activities to do including hiking, biking and canoeing on the Clarion. There were also indoor mini-golf courses and a really neat "Buck Barn" you could walk through and look at monster deer. Seemed like a very popular weekend trip for the Pittsburgh area. We took a bike ride down to a Fire Tower that you could walk up which was pretty cool. It rained a little on Saturday but it didn't damper the trip. There are tons of trails to explore in the Allegheny National Forest for hikers. This was the second trip up to the National Forest this year and it's worth going back.
