First Saturday Of Gun Season
Billy, my dad and I hunting from 7:00am-11:30am today. Weather 28 degrees and snowing. It snowed heavy the whole time we hunted, probably picked up 2-3 inches. We hiked throughout the entire "Triangle" but didn't see any deer. Only one fresh set of tracks. We think the weather and no pressure had a lot to do with no sightings. We saw tons of fresh rubs where we were walking. I think the two big bucks I saw out there this year are still alive.........next year should be something special.
