Theme Of This Summer: High Water!

Nice bow eating in the mud!
I met up with my buddies Pat and Steve this morning. The river was flowing at 1400 cfs when we arrived and visibility was down to about 18 inches. As soon as we hit the water the rain came, and it poured! It rained very hard for about 30 minutes and the water kept rising and darkening. Steve doesn't get out often and it's unfortunate it rained as hard as it did. We did manage a couple trout and a few nice smallmouth, but overall the fishing was challenging. The river will be blown out this weekend and into early next week for sure.
