Mist Trail: Yosemite National Park

We only had a few hours to hike on our first day because it was getting late but we decided to hike the Mist Trail in Yosemite Valley. We took a shuttle bus (beware parking is an issue, use the shuttle buses) to the trailhead and started up the trail. This was not a true wilderness hike by any means. Tons of people and a paved trail for half the way up. Either way it was still a pretty hike, it gets you very close to Vernal and Nevada Falls. We took a quick loop out right before the hike up to Nevada Falls. We ended up looping the hike on the John Muir Trail and back down to the Mist Trail. It was mostly uphill for the first 2.5 miles, then downhill on the less rocky John Muir Trail. Total distance was about 4-5 miles.
