Sentinel Dome: Yosemite National Park

After gazing at the Glacier Point View for a long time, we decided to put on the hiking boots and head out to the Sentinel Dome Trailhead a few miles back up the road toward the valley. This Trailhead was situated on the top of the mountain so the hiking wasn't too strenuous until you reached the granite dome. At the dome the climb was only about 300 feet and wasn't too steep. The 360 degree panoramic views at the top made this hike worthwhile. If you are looking for a pretty easy hike with an awesome view try this one out for sure! Total mileage on this trail was 2.2 miles out and back.
