Hungry From A Long Winter |
The temperatures have spiked considerably here in Montana. This is just a tease though, I would imagine some more cold air with snow will settle in soon. But for right now, you should be out fishing if you have the chance. The trout have been super aggressive the past few days, they are willing to eat almost anything presented to them as long as your drift is good. Getting down deep is extremely important and the slower water is still prime. Fish have been spreading out though so don't look over those shallow riffles, but if those aren't producing move on to the bigger buckets. Before you know it we will start seeing some March Browns and Skwala Stones. Get it while its good because you never know when run-off will set in.
